I build a fully functional drone obstacle course controlled by a mobile app. Adjust the difficulty on the fly with moving gates. Added LED lighting for night flights to keep it challenging in low light. A dynamic course that tests reflexes, precision, and keeps every flight fresh.

I used a Simblee microcontroller for both Bluetooth communication and motor control. I discovered Simblee through SparkFun, and it was amazing because you could write the iOS interface directly inside the Arduino code. The Simblee app would detect your device and instantly load your custom interface from the board itself. It was a lot of fun to build with. Sadly, the company disappeared, probably because many makers never even knew it existed, so it didn’t gain enough traction.
