My daughter ask for help when her nail polish machine stop working. The UV curing led was turning off really fast. I thought it was my USB powerbank turning off until I turn it over and notice the USB cable was plug but wobbling in place. I unplug the USB and lost the USB inside the device.
Took it apart and it was very obvious!
It turn out it’s not just the usb connector that got rip off but 2 traces. Since the PCB is single layer and very pale took me a second to figure it out. Thanks to my fluke I was able to see that 5V was not present.
